History

The Urban League, formerly known as the National League on Urban Conditions Among Negroes, dates back to 1910, when the organization advocated for economic and social freedom for African Americans. Today, the Urban League of Southern Connecticut continues this legacy by equipping our community with the skills necessary to become self-sustaining.
